Slow Meat with Northern Nguni Club and Klein Kariba are proud to present the Nguni Slow Meat experience on Friday 3rd November and Saturday 4th November.

This event celebrates our indigenous Nguni Cattle which are registered on the Slow Food International Ark of Taste list.

Date: Friday 3rd November and Saturday 4th November 2017.

Venue: ATKV Klein-Kariba, R101, Bela-Bela.

Highlights of this Nguni Slow Meat experience include:

  • Nguni braai featuring Vaatjie from Toks & Tjogs on Friday evening.

Saturday 4th November:

  • Nguni butchery and butcher school: come see the butcher team SA cut a carcass and learn how it is done.
  • Nguni live animal auction: come experience the auction and buy your own Nguni for its beautiful skin and delicious meat.
  • Slow Meat competition: meet and experience the different tastes and flavours of ten of South Africa’s top chef dishes, prepared on Weber braaiers.
  • Braai competition to be remembered as judged by our Master Chef .
  • Other activities include Nguni items for sale, skins, paintings and children’s entertainment.
