On Saturday 8 May, we hosted an artisanal sausage workshop together with expert local sausage maker Peter James-Smith at his home-cum-factory in Kensington, Johannesburg. Peter gave a talk on the history of sausages, followed by a sausage making demonstration. Afterwards we tasted a range of Peter’s handcrafted sausages with accompaniments.
